Fabulous grouper with citrus mashed potatoes, asparagus and beautiful purple and yellow carrots! It sure isn’t fancy, but the food is great, reasonably priced and the servers always friendly.

My husband and I, upon finding ourselves in the Nashotah area once again while indulging in our retirement thrifting obsession, decided to try another new place for lunch. Hence, we found ourselves at Boozhag's, where we were pleasantly surprised to discover a robust mid-week lunch crowd. It may have been the fact that it was Wing Wednesday, featuring 60 cent wings with a variety of sauces and dry rubs to choose from. It may have been the friendly neighborhood tavern vibe - spacious yet small enough to feel cozy and homey. It may have been the myriad of TVs to watch (enough, but not so many as to be distracting), the attentive and amiable service (Christine had her hands full taking care of every table on her own, and she ROCKED IT!) - whatever it is that contributes to its obvious popularity, we will be back to experience it again! My husband ordered a Bloody Mary, requesting the spicy variety, and said the level of zestiness was perfect. We shared a basket of breaded and fried dill pickle chips, which arrived nice and hot with a side of ranch dressing. For our entree, we opted for 6 Cajun dry-rubbed wings and 6 BBQ sauced wings. We said oh, yes to blue cheese and ranch dressing, along with celery, as accompaniments. The wings were hot and the flavors were a little on the subtle side, but very good. Both flavors were divided evenly into flats and drums, which was perfect as I prefer the flats while hubby goes for drums. As I mentioned earlier in this review, we will definitely be back for lunch, or a refreshment stop, or maybe even breakfast one day if we can get ourselves up and out the door early enough. We're eager to try some of the other tasty-sounding items from their varied menu!

Our family ate Thanksgiving dinner here and everything was absolutely phenomenal! They set up a super cute Thanksgiving themed table for our party, food was absolutely delicious (best Thanksgiving dinner I’ve had in years), and service was top notch! Our table was tucked away from the main bar/restaurant area, which would put perfectly, since we had wild kids with us. Can’t wait to have a thanksgiving meal here again next year!

The fish fry was excellent! We stopped for lunch. The fish was flaky and coated in a light almost Panko type batter. I wish I could take home a bottle of their tarter sauce. Loved the potato pancakes. Potato salad awesome, coleslaw also awesome. I was there with a friend and we are fussy about our fish fry! Our server was a very friendly, pretty red headed lady. We'll be back

Loved this place. Cadence (in pictures) is rivaling me for the “far too skinny” award. LOL. Fun, friendly, good food. Busy though, but not too busy. I’m definitely getting one of those shirts. Directions: Right off 16 west, take C to the left. I have nothing else to say ... it’s great.

Stopped in for lunch for the first time, shepherds pie was the special, one of the best shepherds pie I have had. The place was surprisingly good, we stopped in the next day for lunch again and I tried out the burger, which was excellent. Great service, especially considering the bartender that was serving the bar and all the tables! Definitely will be back.
